Patrick drank a bottle of colostrum collected from his mom, was on his feet in 45 minutes, passed meconium, and found the milk bar all within 90 min of birth! With every foal born, moments like this continue to blow me away how their remarkable instincts and capabilities happen so quickly and when they are so young.
The illustrious Popeye K, a Hunter stallion with numerous accolades and renowned for his breeding type, is Patrick’s sire.

While I’ve had the privilege to back and start more than 20 of Popeye K’s offspring, I have never bred my own. We had the perfect mare in Brandy, known for her spectacular scopey jump and exquisite, refined features.
With Popeye’s substance, size, and remarkable performance record, Patrick is the result of a match made in equestrian heaven.
Patrick is out of Braecrest Brandy. She is an exceptional mare, who is beautifully correct, has the perfect amount of chrome, and has the most darling personality. Brandy was presented as a three year old at the 2014 Canadian Sport Horse Breeders Show at the end of August 2014, and blew us all away winning trophies for Champion 3 Year Old CSH filly and Reserve Grand Champion! She won Grand Champion Canadian Sport Horse, and pinned 6th and 7th respectively in the Governor General Cup and Lieutenant Governor Cup 2014.
