Owen is sired by the outstanding up-and-coming stallion ‘Otamendi’ standing at Ashland Farm in Ontario. Otamendi carries the lines of some of the best jumping horses in the world – Don VHP by Diamant de Semilly, Comme Il Faut by Cornet Obolensky, Voltaire and Burggraaf. We are so excited for the future of this young stallion and believe tremendously in his bloodlines, type, and future success.

Owen’s dam is Braecrest Elizabeth, a daughter from one of our foundation mares, Oldenburg, proven 1.60 jumper “Kalonja.” Braecrest Elizabeth is a sibling to Braecrest Beaumont, who we stood at stud for several years here at Braecrest. Izzy has all the qualities we strive for in our mare herd… the best disposition, very correct conformation, excellent feet for soundness in performance, athletic ability and beautiful type.

Owen is a wonderful choice to excel as a hunter, jumper, or equitation prospect. He has long, elegant lines with an uphill build, fabulous movement, no doubt will jump, and the most darling personality. He nickers every time he sees a person!
